Thoughts from the Head of Training

To compliment our already popular Air Experience Flights lasting either a half hour or one hour we have introduced two extra flight durations – you may now choose from 30, 45, 60 and 90 minute flights. The new 45 minute flight is for those who wish to enjoy extra handling time and to see a little more of the countryside than the basic 30 minute experience provides – we call this our local plus flight.

The new 90 minute flight during which basic navigation techniques are planned and flown and is intended for those who wish to carry out a simple preplanned Navigation exercise and could take in the Yorkshire Dales, or the Scottish Borders or perhaps the Lake District.
The Gift Vouchers make ideal Xmas, Birthday or Anniversary presents or perhaps a staff member Retirement Gift. A certificate is issued at the conclusion of each flight and which counts as a log book entry should flight training be continued later. We have previously mentioned Modular Commercial Pilot and Flying Instructor Training provided by St. George Flight Training Ltd and our latest price from zero knowledge with no flying experience to Commercial Pilot with Flying Instructor qualification is under £33k whilst the Commercial Pilot without the Flying Instructor rating is under £27k – these prices are very competitive in the industry and our first time pass rate is almost 100%. With University fees now at something like £9k per annum maximum it now makes a career as a Commercial Pilot a sensible financial option. Parents are invited to make an appointment with me to discuss your son or daughters career plan with a view to becoming a Commercial Pilot or maybe a career Flying Instructor
